Marketing starts before products are put on the store shelves waiting to be sold and even before they are being produced.
Science of product packaging:
Packaging
is one of the initial steps that relate to the accomplishment of the
overall goal by means of a great marketing strategy and should not be
underestimated as, being a part of the great strategy, it is the first
thing the potential buyer will look at when he or she enters the store.
Product
packaging is a separate subject that adds up to the whole scene of
marketing success, this is why produce companies need to pay much
attention to details of how they package their products for sale.
It
is pretty interesting to find out what happens to the product on its'
way to the consumer, to be more exact, all the way until it is unpacked
and consumed by the buyer.
There
are several key points that have to be taken into consideration when
producing and packaging, such as disposal, storage, ecology ...
In
addition, the producer has to deal with competition, so he has to find
the way how to best package his products or present his services and
even better than his competitors do.
That
will take extra time and money to achieve, however, the good thing
about it is: (1) it is easy and exciting to do and (2) it should be
done anyway as a part of the marketing process.
The
most simple way to step ahead of competition is to get things compared
against those of your most known and successful competitors by
surveying the target market with a few most important questions and
finding out what needs to be improved, removed or added.
There
are many different types of survey tests that can and need to be done
to know how to market well, as the only way to succeed in marketing is
to really understand people's needs, wants and demands and the tool to
do this is communication.
